Supported Housing
Who We Accommodate
Young people aged 16-25 who want to live independently.
What Is Involved
Kylie Bishop, Foyer resident We provide self-catering single person accommodation in the centre of Portsmouth – but it's not just a room. We also have a team of trained staff on hand to help you get to grips with lifeskills, budgeting, and looking after yourself. We'll also advise you about work & training, and claiming any benefits or grants you may be entitled to.
How To Apply
Gina, a resident having breakfast one very early winter morning. You can call in to reception or phone at any time and book to attend an Introduction session (normally held on Mondays and Wednesdays). At the Introduction, you'll be shown round the building, and we'll explain how the rent works, what we do here, what we expect from you and what you can expect from us. At the Introduction session you'll be given an application form. When you return the completed form we'll book you a one-to-one interview with a Support Worker. A decision will then be made on whether or not we feel you're ready to live in the Foyer. Usually, you'll get a decision from us within a couple of days.
